Bio

At Indiana University, I earned undergraduate degrees in English and Fine Arts, then a Master of Science in Education.  In 2020, the South Bend Civic Theater performed my first play "Nowhere Fast" and broadcast it on ZOOM.  From The Prairie Publications published Finished Canvases: A Collection of Poetry, which contains some of my poems and paintings.  My essays, poems, and stories were featured in the South Bend Tribune, Femailings Journal, and Michiana Monologues.  My paintings and drawings have been featured at the John Waldron Art Center (Bloomington, IN), The Civil Rights Heritage Center (South Bend, IN), and at Indiana University South Bend Faculty/Alumni Exhibitions (South Bend, Indiana).  I am the founder of a failed 501(c)(3) nonprofit: The Equal Arts Movement, Inc.  I go to the Clubhouse of St Joseph County and attend Crest Manor Church of the Brethren.  If you go to either place, on the right day, I can give you a tour!  Finished Canvases: A Collection of Poetry is available where books are sold.
